Privacy Policy
1. Taking the free test
The TypeRoot test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are scored on your device and are never sent to our servers. We do not create accounts and we do not ask for your name or email to see your result. If you leave the page, your in-progress answers stay only in your browser's local storage on your own device, and can be cleared at any time (clearing site data or using private browsing does it).
2. Buying a premium report
Payments and delivery are handled by Gumroad, our payment processor and merchant of record. When you buy, Gumroad collects what it needs to complete the sale — your email (to deliver the PDF), payment details, and billing address where required for tax. TypeRoot receives only the delivery email and purchase confirmation. Your card details never pass through our servers. See Gumroad's privacy policy for how they handle this data.
3. Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics service. It collects aggregate, anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, approximate country, referrer) without tracking you across sites and without personal identifiers. We use this only to understand which pages and articles are useful.
4. Email
If you email us, we keep your message only to answer it. We never add buyers or correspondents to marketing lists. There are no newsletters.
5. We don't sell data
We have no advertising network, no data broker relationships, and no database of test-takers to monetize. There is nothing to sell.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you. Because we hold so little, this is quick: email hello@typeroot.net and we'll handle it within 30 days.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and summarize meaningful changes here.
